The good news for the little* Star Wars* fan in your life is that there's a Lego movie featuring their favorite plastic Jedi and droids airing tonight on Cartoon Network. The bad news is that it's only five minutes long.
To continue the celebration of 10 years of Lego Star Wars (the toy manufacturer's first licensed property), an animated mini-movie from a galaxy far, far away will premiere tonight at 9 p.m. E.T. It's then unofficially and illegally scheduled to premiere on YouTube in less time than its actual running length.
"The Quest for R2-D2" will premiere with prime-time programming. Tie-in stories leading up to this five-minute extravaganza have been running on Lego's "Quest for R2-D2" page as online comics, as will sequels to tonight's finite flick.
And, it's not just a commercial. So put that idea right out of your head.
