According to Swedish metal band Opeth,* Saints Row* is coming next year on the PSP.

In a news post on the band's official website, the band writes that it was honored that its music was chosen to be in the sandbox-style, gang-themed game:

We may not like playing video games all that much but we do like it when our music is featured on them! Makes us a bit proud even when it's a game as big as Saints Row for the PSP and even prouder when the nice developer people show excellent taste by picking "The Lotus Eater" for it.

They also wrote that the game is expected to be released in March.

THQ has not officially announced the urban sandbox franchise for other platforms, though last month developer Volition suggested to me that it was possible that *Saints Row *could come to the Wii one day at the hands of other studios. This PSP version could be part of the brand extension that Volition hinted at.

It's not the only game lately to be revealed by unconventional means. Last month, a* New York Times* wedding announcement for a Lionhead Studios employee called out the existence of the still-unconfirmed Fable III.
