A new photo hustled from the set of the special year-ending Doctor Who episodes reveals a major bit of casting news and a huge spoiler for David Tennant's final outing as The Doctor.
The grainy photo shows Tennant standing shoulder-to-shoulder with John Simm (The Master). Simm's appearance in the show is no huge scoop, but beside Tennant and Simm stands a Bond, a James Bond: Timothy Dalton.
Casting Dalton (The Living Daylights, Licence to Kill) is a surprise that former Who executive producer Russell T. Davies managed to keep under wraps until now.
Dalton's outfit should shock Who fans. Whoever the former 007 is portraying wears the seal of the Time Lords on his robes. The Doctor and The Master are supposed to be the last of that race, so who is Dalton playing? Buzzing fans can only guess for now.
