Universal Studios’ theme park division is rolling out a ride equipped with cameras that allow thrill-seekers to view instant video documenting their airborne adventure.

Slated to go live by late June at Florida’s Universal Orlando Resort, the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit (pictured above in an artist’s rendering) comes equipped with six on-board cameras, augmented by eight cams rigged along the track.

Park officials say they’re the same type of digital cameras installed as security units on high-speed trains and are therefore purpose-built to capture data at ultra-high rates.

Riders can also program their own music with a touchpad song-picker. Laser-triggered timing devices synchronize each visitor’s soundtrack to the video footage, which is downloaded wirelessly from the vehicle to a viewing kiosk within 25 seconds of the ride’s completion. Guests who like what they see – – and what’s not to like when vomit cams are rolling?  – – can purchase a souvenir DVD starring their own screaming faces.

Can you say aaaaiiiieeeehhhh?
