Israeli arms-maker Rafael was teased from Tel Aviv to Mumbai when it made a beyond-awful Bollywood-themed music video, touting its missiles to the refrain "dinga dinga dee." So, naturally, the company stopped making promotional clips that play on cultural stereotypes, right?
Amazingly, no. For this year's Paris Air Show, Rafael has produced a new promotional clip. And genius aerospace blogger Stephen Trimble was quick enough to record it. In this one, a Marcel Marceau-esque mime dodges cartoon missiles – until she opens up her bright red "multi-layered air defense umbrella." And viola! The weapons are magically blocked.
Unlike the last video, there's no soundtrack (it stars a mime, after all). Nor are there any well-proportioned dancing ladies (the only actress is appropriately Paris-thin). But fortunately for us, Rafael has maintain the same indifference to taste that made their last flick an international hit. Encore, mes amis! Encore!
