The Pantera Leo riding mower concept from Husqvarna is sweeter than honey, as quiet as a library and has more in common with an electric razor than a John Deere.
The Leo is just a computer rendering at this point, but should it ever see production Husquvarna says it would have five electric motors and three cutters. On-board sensors would allow them to adjust to the contours of your lawn, much like a Norelco adjusts to the contours of your face.
The concept calls for lithium-iron phosphate batteries with a runtime of two hours and an overnight recharge time. That isn't very much time for mowing the back nine, but if you run out of juice you could always fire up Husqvarna's Roomba-like mower to finish the job.
With a Lego-like body made of recycled material, the Panthera Leo would be as green as your lawn. Maybe even greener.
