A remake of Heavy Metal, the ’80s hair-rock animated movie, seems a step closer now that a list of the directors involved has surfaced.
The David Fincher and James Cameron project will include segments directed by Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen) and Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean), according to Film School Rejects, as well as bits by Fincher and Cameron. Also, Mark Osborne and Jack Black are supposed to do a comedy segment akin to what SCTV stars Harold Ramis and John Candy did for the original film.
Fortunately, this story gives us an opportunity to offer a clip of the absolute classic South Park episode, “Major Boobage.” Parental discretion is advised.
