Before its third season hits the international airwaves, Torchwood will heat up the airwaves with three new audio productions for BBC Radio, BBC iPlayer and iTunes.

The weeklong mini-series event Torchwood: "Children of Earth" will arrive on U.S. and U.K. screens in July. But fans can keep tabs on their favorite Welsh-defending alien fighters in three original radio plays.

Featuring series regulars Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman, above), Gwen Cooper (Eve Myles) and Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd), the three 45-minute stories will outline events between Torchwood's second and third series.

The stories will include "Asylum" by Anita Sullivan, "Golden Age" by James Goss and "The Dead Line" by Phil Ford.

U.K. fans can catch each special as part of BBC Radio 4's "Afternoon Play" slot at 2.15 p.m (dates TBD).
