Terminator Salvation's Not for Wussies, Sam Worthington Says

BEVERLY HILLS, California — Sam Worthington, the Australian actor who plays mysterious Marcus in Terminator Salvation, talked tough Friday about taking on the physically challenging role in the upcoming killer robot flick.

Pictured above in an exclusive image from the film, Worthington said he didn’t mind getting scuffed up in the course of the grueling shoots, during which he performed many of his own stunts.

“It’s Terminator, it’s not fucking Pride and Prejudice is it?” he told reporters during a press conference to promote the aggressive movie. “You know what you’re stepping into. You take a few hits, you take a few knocks. We all tried to do as much as we could before the insurance company caught on.”

Regarding co-star Christian Bale, the Dark Knight actor who plays resistance leader John Connor in director McG’s post-Judgment Day Terminator movie, Worthington said: “I find Christian extremely passionate and dedicated. People call him intense. I hate that fucking word, man, hate it. Christian turns up, does his job — it’s all about the story and the character. To work with a guy like that is actually a privilege.”
