The latest in Capcom's beloved Versus series of fighting games, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom, is now officially scheduled for an American release, according to Capcom's Unity blog.

The game pits Capcom fighting standards such as Mega Man, Street Fighter's Ryu, and Viewtiful Joe against characters created by Japan's Tatsunoko animation studio. You may know them as the people who brought you Yatterman and Golden Warrior Gold Lightan.

Capcom has not said whether issues related to acquiring the rights to use the Tatsunoko characters in a North American release would cause them to drop any of the cast seen in the Japanese version of the game, but the publisher has promised an official announcement soon that should clear up any lingering questions.
