As the "altered reality" of J.J. Abrams' new Star Trek movie closes in on its May 8 premiere, CBS/Paramount is teaming up with Wired.com to give away copies of this week's new classic Trek DVDs.
Tuesday saw the release of the Season 1 box set of Star Trek: The Original Series on Blu-ray. Standard, single-DVD editions of The Best of Star Trek: The Original Series and The Best of Star Trek: The Next Generation will hit stores on May 12. The "best of" sets include four favorite episodes from each series.
Two lucky winners will receive prize packages containing the Blu-ray set and both "best of" DVDs. To enter the random drawing, interested Trekkers should send an e-mail to underwire@wired.com with the words "Star Trek DVD Contest" in the subject line. All entries must be received by 12:01 a.m. PST, May 8, 2009. Winners will be contacted by e-mail.
