We’ve known for a while that Square Enix’s handheld, Final Fantasy mash-up fighter Dissidia: Final Fantasy is coming to American shores, and now the company has issued an official trailer.
It isn’t much that we haven’t seen before, and the footage is yet more proof of Square Enix’s love for pre-rendered CGI cinematics, but this is the first time we’ve had a substantial, English-language clip designed to ramp up anticipation for the PSP game.
Plus, that ambiguous "Summer 2009" release date shown at the end of the clip is the latest we’ve heard from the firm on when we can expect the game to hit retail shelves here in The States. It’s not much to go on, but the firm has to give its devotees something after all these months of silence.
