Issuing yet another press release telling a subset of gamers to "go to hell," publisher Electronic Arts has revealed plans to bring its upcoming Dante's Inferno to Sony's PSP handheld.
The game, which is based on Dante Aligheri's epic 14th century poem "The Divine Comedy," is also scheduled for release on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The handheld version is being developed by EA's Redwood Shores development arm as well as Canadian team Artificial Mind And Movement.
"Our team and the team at A2M are taking the vision for Dante’s Inferno and translating it directly to the PSP,” said Dante's Inferno executive producer Jonathan Knight in today's announcement. “PSP
owners can expect to get the same level of fast, responsive gameplay through all nine detailed and unique circles of hell we are aiming to achieve on the consoles.”
So far EA has yet to reveal a release date for the handheld Dante's Inferno.
