"The power of The Force is insignificant next to the power of beating back cancer." And, that just what David Prowse – the imposing, talented and physical actor inside Darth Vader's original armor – is up to in London.
According to The Daily Mail, Prowse (73) is in the Royal Marsden Hospital receiving the final stage of treatment for prostate cancer. He packed his 6'6" frame into Vader's costume in the Star Wars series' first three entries (ignoring dramatic ordering) A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.
According to Prowse, the treatments are going well. He gives nothing but high marks to the hospital and expects to make a full recovery.
