The next downloadable map pack for Gears of War 2, dubbed "Snowblind," is coming to the Xbox Live Marketplace on March 31, according to a recent Gamespot interview with executive producer Rod Fergusson.
Included in the pack are four new multiplayer maps: "Grindyard," "Under Hill," "Courtyard," and a remake of the "Fuel Depot" map from the first Gears of War. As Gamespot points out, though no price has been revealed for the pack, presumably it will match the $10 price point applied to the game's earlier "Combustible" pack.
Additionally, the interview reveals a free downloadable upgrade for Gears 2, scheduled for release on March 24, that adds an experience point system. By killing foes players accrue experience and gain levels. At certain levels, gamers unlock new Achievements for the game.
It's not quite as robust as the system seen in Call of Duty, but should make Gears 2's multiplayer even more addictive.
