Good news for Persona fans: Atlus is planning to release a remake of the first Persona title for the PSP with updated graphics, and a handful of new features.
Bad news for Persona fans: Atlus has so far only revealed plans to release the remake in Japan.
With the recent success of Persona 3 and 4 here in The States it seems like a foregone conclusion that the company will bring the game to our shores at some point – so feel free to clap with glee at the Japanese trailer for the title even if you can't read the text.
The game doesn't quite have the aesthetic chops of its two most recent progeny, but it's obvious that the visual style of the last few Persona games has bled over into this remake with results that should appeal to even the most recently-minted series fans.
