Sony’s official PlayStation.Blog is heavily hyping Patapon 2 today, both with the English trailer for the PSP sequel and some interesting news for LittleBigPlanet fans.
I love that the trailer itself is so intensely serious about the second game. It’s like Sony hired the guy who creates trailers for God of War to do this one, without telling him what game it was meant to promote, then looped adorable pata-pata-pata chants over the top of the clip.
Unsurprisingly, LittleBigPlanet will also see a downloadable costume addition based on the adorably obsidian Patapons, complete with corrugated cardboard sword. No release window or pricing info is revealed for the costume, but Sony was kind enough to toss in a picture of the DLC (below).
This is easily my favorite Sony-themed LBP add-on so far.
