On February 12, you'll be able to purchase a ninja costume for your Home avatar, but unless you're a die-hard fan of buying digital clothing, that's hardly a reason to get excited.

In the coming months, Capcom will also be augmenting your Home experience, offering up Street Fighter IV costumes and "additional themed content" that you'll be able to unlock. What that additional content might be is anyone's guess, but the idea of tying in-game actions to your Home presence opens up a floodgate of possibilities for the beleaguered virtual world.

But on to the most interesting announcement: Resident Evil 5- and Warhawk-themed Home spaces (whenever they arrive) will allow players to launch straight into the game from Home.

Back in December I waxed poetic about how great it would be if Sony converted what is essentially a glorified chat room into a free, organic matchmaking service. We still have to wait to see what they come up with, but if Sony can make Home-based game launching a relatively painless experience, there's a good chance we'll see an entirely new realm of possibility for their little experiment.
