The DS version of Peggle won't be released until March 3, but creator PopCap Games is already planning to release versions of its other classic puzzle titles for Nintendo's handheld, Forbes reports.
Scheduled for the nebulous "later this year" are DS ports of word-puzzle title Bookworm, and the most recent update to the Bejeweled series, *Bejeweled Twist *(pictured at right).
In other PopCap news, the same Forbes report reveals the existence of an upcoming PC release dubbed Plants Vs Zombies. The game is a new property that combines "the real-time strategy genre, the tower defense games and collectible card games -- but in a casual context," according to PopCap VP Greg Canessa.
I can't imagine how that's supposed to work, but it's PopCap, after all. The company has an uncanny knack for turning bizarre concepts into the most devilishly addictive casual games.
