It was big news last year when Activision and Blizzard (then separate firms) dropped out of the E3 conference in Los Angeles, and it's equally interesting that the firms (now merged) have decided to return to this year's installment.
The newly-revealed exhibitor list for E3 2009, scheduled for June 2 through 4 at the LA Convention Center, lists Activision Blizzard among its ranks. The full list includes nearly all major gaming companies.
Exact reasons for why the firm has returned are unclear, though presumably the decision by the Entertainment Software Association to once again promote E3 as a huge, lavish affair has something to do with Activision Blizzard's choice.
