Watchmen Marketing Goes Viral With New Frontiersman

Now that the legal miasma is dead and all multimillion-dollar hatchets have been buried, Warner Bros. is free to market the double hockey sticks out of Watchmen between now and March.

A big online component of that marketing is the viral web stop, The New Frontiersman. Based on a fictitious publication within the original graphic novel, the site provides a daily rollout of artifacts from Watchmen’s world.

The image above of Doctor Manhattan photographing Neil Armstrong surfaced this week, along with the viral video below featuring a vintage television broadcast. The faux newscast profiles the "better blue than Red" superhuman who figures prominently in Watchmen.
