IDW Comics will release the first part of Star Trek: Countdown Wednesday -- the official lead-in to J.J. Abrams' relaunch of the starship Enterprise, which hits theaters in May.
But fans who can't wait a couple of days can get a three-page preview at IESB.net.
The comic should offer the first glimpse at a plot for the film, which even its stars already say some fans won't like: "I'm not well-versed in the Trek canon, but we're venturing into territory that's only been covered in these paperback novels they sell," said Chris Pine, who plays Capt. Kirk in the franchise reboot, to The Wall Street Journal. "It's definitely not going to please everyone."
