Is driving to your local games store a bit too strenuous for your atrophied muscles? Sony Online Entertainment has you covered: Most of the firm's massively multiplayer online games are now available for digital download via Valve's Steam service.
Everquest, Everquest II, Pirates of the Burning Sea and Vanguard are all now available from Steam. Alongside the standard "30 days free gameplay" offered to all new MMO subscribers, SOE is celebrating the Steam release with special reduced prices for Pirates and Vanguard as well as the EQ expansion Secrets of Faydwer and the *EQII *expansion Rise of Kunark.
Notably absent from Steam is SOE's* Star Wars Galaxies*. We asked the publisher why that particular game had been omitted and received the following reply: "LucasArts handles all digital distribution of SWG, so that’s why SOE is not offering the game through Steam."
