As most fans know, 20th Century Fox is moving full-speed ahead to block Warner Bros.’ Watchmen from being released.
This reporter spent the post-Christmas period seeking a lawyer willing to postulate on Fox’s strategy in all this, and none jumped at the chance of suggesting an end-game. Confusion reigns.
Only one element in all this is clear. If Warner Bros. simply and stubbornly refuses to pay its rival studio a chunk of Watchmen profits so this all goes away, Fox will make certain fans never see this movie in theaters. Fox will take it that far.
