It's an understatement to suggest the folks at Rifftrax weren't prepared for how popular their Wednesday night live show would be.
The Rifftrax servers crashed within minutes of the free show's opening due to excessive traffic. As of this posting, the site is still down with no signs of life apart from the following message:
"RiffTrax is experiencing technical difficulties. Last night we had a critical hardware failure with our drives, resulting in the server coming offline and staying that way. We are in the process of restoring all of our data and we hope to have the site back online soon. Sorry for the inconvenience, and thank you for your continued patience!"
There's been no word from the search parties sent to find Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy or Bill Corbett. But, they probably just stopped for a sandwich.
