Normal_torchwoodmagazineWhile the BBC has yet to announce an official premiere date for the third mini-season of Torchwood, a BBC America exec indicated U.S. viewers can look for the show mid-summer.

Garth Ancier, president of BBC America, said that the U.S. summer broadcast will coincide with the BBC1 premiere with only a few hours, cross-Atlantic lag time, according to AfterElton.com.

The third season consists of only five, one-hour episodes, set to run on consecutive nights in the United Kingdom. BBC America will follow the same schedule, making the broadcasts an event mini-series.

While series star John Barrowman (Capt. Jack Harkness) waits for his thespian efforts to air, he'll be writing a Torchwood comic strip for *Torchwood *magazine with sister and collaborator, Carole E. Barrowman. Look for special issue No. 14 on newsstands in early February.
