Would you believe that the most downloaded game on Sony's PlayStation Network this year was a title about flinging stereotypical characters at brick walls?
The latest episode of Sony's "video magazine"Pulse offers a list of the top ten most downloaded titles for the online service and Idol Minds' Pain comes in at number one.
Here's the full run-down:
- Pain
- High Velocity Bowling
- Super Stardust HD
- PixelJunk Monsters
- flow
- Warhawk
- Aquatopia
- Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection
- High Stakes Poker
- Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty
It certainly helps that Pain was available for the entirety of 2008 (having been released in November 2007), but more surprising is that neither high-profile releases like Namco's Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection nor critical darlings like PixelJunk Monsters could topple the Sony-published title.
And I'm more than a little stunned that Capcom's phenomenal Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix didn't even make the list.
