There hasn't been much word on Burnout Paradise's upcoming Big Surf Island downloadable add-on in the last few months, but the most recent update announces an exciting new feature: a price tag.
Yes, despite the developer's own claims to the contrary, all of the suspiciously convenient ramps, towers and stretches of road that an entirely new island has to offer will no longer be free of charge.
You didn't really think Criterion would just give away all of that awesome, did you? Besides, with all of the free stuff that's been tacked on since you originally bought the game, it's only fair that the largest update to date come at some cost.
The reason for the charge? Criterion simply "never expected to create anything this ambitious," and the developers are promising that players will get their money's worth.
While there's still no word on the cost or release date for Big Surf Island, it looks like they're cramming in a whole lot of room to race (and wreck). Here's hoping they find a sweet price point.
