When the PC version of Burnout Paradise arrives in February, it'll bring all of the updates and enhancements that have already been released on the console version, and one rather exciting new feature – a free trial.

As opposed to offering a traditional, limited demo, Criterion will be giving gamers a hefty chunk of the full game, to play to their hearts content for a limited time. This extended demo will include all of the game's events and multi-player offerings, with three cars to race and compete in.

With the free trial, you'll be able to judge exactly how well the game will run on your PC, what the multi-player components will be like, and
(most importantly) whether or not you enjoy what it has to offer.
While the exact length of the trial hasn't been revealed, bravo to
Criterion for eliminating many of the excuses software pirates might think up to justify their misdeeds.

The demo will be available in February 2009 as a download, or on discs that can be installed and then shared amongst friends.
