We've actually done a behind-the-scenes tour at SeaWorld San Diego before, and it was the most memorable part of the whole family trip, so I was really interested to see that the SeaWorld/Busch Gardensfolks are now offering even bigger experiences for kids at their parks - visits that are more than just seeing the shows, eating the food, and buying the merchandise. There are day camps, overnights, and even longer-stay resident adventures that let kids see the animals up close, and see what it's really like to run an animal-park. The program is available at most of the Busch Gardens and SeaWorld locations from coast to coast. You can check out more at www.swbg-adventurecamps.com.
