Jackcv17_2Proving there are actually graphic novels out there that haven't already been adapted into film or TV, ABC picked up Fables from DC Comics' Vertigo label.

Created in 2002 by Bill Willingham, Fables features classic characters from well-known fairy tales fighting to survive life in modern-day New York.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, producers Stu Zicherman and Raven Metzner are writing the script for the hour-long drama to be directed by David Semel.
