Bad timing for Yahoo CEO Jerry Yang. The very morning Google pulled out of a potentially lucrative search deal with Yahoo, Yang is scheduled to speak at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco.
And while rumors swirl around Yahoo's next move -- perhaps another attempt at a Microsoft deal? -- Yang will have to field some uncomfortable questions at the conference this afternoon, leading some to wonder whether he'll show up at all. If he does, it's bound to be an awkward 45-minutes filled with a lot of "No comment" answers.
