Id’s classic first-person shooter Quake is coming to iPhone. A free version of the game should hit the App Store later this week.
This iPhone version of the game is developed by ZodTTD, who promises that future updates will bring network play and mod support.
The developer also mentions that he initially included accelerometer support, but that it was disabled because "it is very hard to play the game while maintaining the positions needed for Quake."
The game is currently under review for inclusion on the App Store, a process that, according to the developer, "usually takes between 2 to 5 days."
