Twitter co-founder Biz Stone sent out an email Monday night announcing first and foremost that the company is hiring a bunch of new positions, as well as several other updates including anticipating "record-breaking activity" on election day.
This news comes at a time when many other startups and tech companies are announcing massive layoffs.
“We've been really busy behind the scenes these days at Twitter HQ. Things are moving as fast as ever and we're growing six ways from Sunday,” writes Stone.
Previous news from the Twitter executives was the change in CEOs, which sparked conversations about Twitter’s future, including when the company would adopt a business model (Investors said 2009.)
But the company is still topping the charts in user growth and apparently has plenty of cash in hand to amp up its staff.
