Guitar Hero World Tour fans who get their rhythm gaming fix via Nintendo's Wii won't be rocking out to Jimi Hendrix any time soon, thanks to a desire to "keep the integrity of the track pack," reports MTV's Multiplayer Blog.
As the Wii iteration of Guitar Hero World Tour only allows for single track downloadable content (owing to Nintendo's DLC rules), and "certain licensing restrictions" from the people who control the reins of the playable Hendrix tunes only allow it to be offered as a three-song pack, the tunes won't be coming to Nintendo's console.
No word so far on whether Nintendo's DLC restrictions will affect GH competitor Rock Band in a similar way, though as both series' offer new tunes in a similar fashion, it's a distinct possibility.
