Voters in the battleground states of Florida and New Mexico are reporting that they're receiving spam texts on their cellphones telling them that Obama supporters can vote on Wednesday.
"Due to long lines if you are voting for Barack Obama you can vote tomorrow," says one text sent to a voter in Tampa, Florida. The first note was shared on a Hillsborough County Obama listserv, and the second was reported from Alberquerque, New Mexico by one of Wired.com's readers on our Elections Problems map.
"Due to long lines, all Obama voters are asked to vote tomorrow," says the text sent to the voter in New Mexico. They report that the orginating phone number is 505-507-6041.
The *Associated Press *reports that voters in Missouri have received similar messages, and those have been forwarded to the Secretary of State's and the US Attorney's offices.
Election Day is Tuesday, and the notes are bogus.
