Bob & Doug Coming to TV, Sans Original Bob

Bob and Doug McKenzie, keepers of original Canadian comedic content for decades, are returning to TV in a new animated series. Unfortunately, Bob will sound a little different.

Hoping to introduce a new generation of fans to the McKenzie Bros.’ special brand of sophisticated comedy, the popular duo from the classic SCTV sketch comedy show are returning in a new animated show.

But Rick Moranis (the creator of Bob) decided to remain as just an executive producer and not lend his voice to the show along side Dave Thomas (Doug). So, we’re left with Bullwinkle impersonator/Alanis Morissette-irritator Dave Coulier taking over the Moranis roll.

Suffice to say, it’s best that this is only an animated show. After too many episodes of Full House, like Morissette, we’ve seen enough Coulier to last a lifetime.
