Ralphdelavega_2The remarkable thing about this financial crisis, says Ralph de la Vega, is that consumers' appetite for high-end smart phones hasn't wanted at all.

"What we have seen is very unusual, given the financial situation" said de la Vega, CEO of AT&T's Mobility and Consumer Markets, while speaking at the Web 2.0 Summit in San Francisco. "We have actually seen our store traffic increase 17 percent from October a year ago, so customers have turned out in record numbers for devices like the iPhone and BlackBerry Bold."
