YouTuber Animates Wells' War of the Worlds

An ambitious, meticulous YouTube user offers sci-fi fans a cool, homemade way to enjoy H.G. Wells’ classic War of the Worlds.

Following up on the Orson Welles piece by our own Jenna Wortham, an amateur animator and filmmaker ("aonl") uses action figures, text, toys, stock footage and other techniques to create a "video book" of H.G.’s original British sci-fi classic.

There’s even audio from Welles’ original Mercury Theater broadcast (right) to add a little dramatic flare.
