Saints Row 2 has barely been out a month, and already we have confirmation that a sequel is in the works.

"We've already started work on Saints Row 3," Volition's Dan Sutton said in an interview with Play, adding: "We have a new direction we want to go in with that which we of course can't talk about."

New direction? That's not exactly what I want to hear, considering the amount of fun I've gotten out of Saints Row 2 so far. Sure, it doesn't have the polish of Grand Theft Auto 4, but you have more to do, a better combat system, and an over-the-top energy that suits the open world play perfectly.

I'm seriously hoping THQ and Volition don't mess too much with what they've achieved in Saints Row 2. Pictured above, the awesome monster truck I have in my crib's garage.
