1-1.jpgBritain's cellphone carrier "3" wants you to get out and make some friends. The company has announced a new wireless router into which you plug your 3G broadband dongle, instantly turning your connection into a Wi-Fi hotspot.

The router will cost £70 ($120), and appears to be locked to 3's own mobile broadband service. Still, the top-end plan gives you a pretty decent 15GB per month allowance, and costs just £30 ($50). The modem needs a power supply to work, but we guess if you have more than one device to connect, you're probably not that mobile anyway.

The telco isn't messing around with its message, either. Rather than trying to limit your use, the product page encourages it:

Give some love. Share your broadband and data allowance with your Wireless Router.

Nice. If I still lived in gray and rainy England, I'd buy this in a second.
