The hugely addictive German strategy board game The Settlers of Catan is coming to the Nintendo DS.
The DS version of the game will be a port of Catan: The First Island, a mobile version (right) released earlier this year, and now available worldwide through Sony Ericsson portals.
No other details were revealed, but since the mobile version includes multiplayer (over Bluetooth), I think we can expect to see the same on the DS.
Not familiar with Catan? The game is probably the best known casual strategy board game out there — instead of battles, the basic game is about developing settlements, while collecting and trading resources. If board games aren’t for you, then give the Xbox Live Arcade version a try, which does a terrific job of bringing online multiplayer to the game.
