The Sci Fi Channel has unveiled a new social networking community that encourages users to share their paranormal experiences.

The site is an extension of one the network's most popular shows, Ghost Hunters. Dubbed Join the Hunt, the site lets users contribute ghostly images and stories, as well as view photographs and vote on whether the structures pictured are haunted.

Amateur hunters can take part in tutorials that detail how tracking equipment like electromagnetic field detectors and electronic voice phenomena recorders work. Additionally, at-home sleuths can fire questions at the experts, like the show's lead investigators, Grant Wilson and Jason Hawes.

The paranormal is a popular topic -- or at least the* Ghost Hunter *franchise is: Sci Fi Channel recently announced the production of a spinoff pilot following a group of students investigating freaky incidents called Ghost Hunters: College Edition.
