Missed playing Dragon Quest IX at the Tokyo Game Show? That’s because the game’s presence was limited to a new trailer (right) shown inside Square Enix’s closed theater. To play it, you’ll need to go to Jump Festa in December.
Still a good three months before the game’s Japan launch in March 2009 — the public event takes place December 20-21 at Makuhari Messe, where TGS was held — it’s a good move by the publisher.
The annual fair is organized by top-selling weekly comics magazine Jump, and even though plenty of publishers participate with impressive booths, DQIX should turn into the star of the show — well, that and Monster Hunter 3, which will be playable at Capcom’s booth.
