According to Microsoft, Gears of War 2 will not be be released in Germany, and possibly even Japan.
Talking to Edge Online, a Microsoft spokesperson had the following statement: "We can confirm that Gears of War 2 will not be available in Germany or Japan indefinitely."
Edge was later contacted again, with the company adding that "no announcement has been made" about plans for Japan.
The original Gears of War was released in Japan, but was given the adult-only Z rating. The series has never been released in Germany.
Fellow Japan expat gamers: do like me, and make sure to pick up the Asian edition of the game through an import-friendly shop like Play-Asia.
