You could be excused for thinking that the upcoming "Wii de Asobu" collection of re-issued GameCube games with Wiimote-support, starting with Pikmin, would be the Pikmin game Shigeru Miyamoto was referring to at E3. Thankfully, such is not the case.
Nintendo VP Cammie Dunaway puts those fears to rest in an interview with IGN: "Mr. Miyamoto referred to a new Pikmin, as opposed to the classics that are being re-released on Wii."
That's all I needed to hear.
