A Nightmare on …. YouTube?
For Halloween, Google’s video site wrangled scream king Wes Craven, creator of dream terrorist Freddy Krueger and director of films The People Under the Stairs and Red Eye, to curate its homepage.
Craven hand-picked several of his favorite shorts, clips and web series, including Scream Bunnies (embedded), a 30-second re-enactment of horror flick Scream, which Craven helmed in 1996.
Also on Craven’s Halloween play list: horror shorts Deadtime Stories and The Hand, a trailer spoofing Japanese horror movie The Eye and stop-motion film Day With the Devil.
Last year, rocker Rob Zombie tricked out YouTube’s front door.
