RSS Google updates was a feature we've been waiting for since it was announced in early October. Previously, these updates would be delivered to your e-mail inbox. Now, you can see new results pop-up in your RSS reader, like Google Reader. This will particularly please RSS users since the whole idea behind the streamlined data is to allow users to metabolize information quickly.

If you've never used Google Alerts, the service updates you to any changes in your favorite search listings (video, news, blogs, web, video, groups or all of the above). Each time a new listing would appear, an email would be sent to your address. For instance, setting up a Google Alert on your name will alert you to whenever someone writes about you online and the article is included in Google search listings.
