Though BioWare's upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic is getting all the press these days, LucasArts will not be abandoning players of their first MMO, Star Wars Galaxies.
"We've learned how important it is to listen to your community and act on that feedback," said LucasArts' Tom Nichols at the recent Old Republic press event.
"We have many other features planned to support Star Wars Galaxies," he added. "We see no reason why the two games can't exist together."
Still, we caution anyone to put absolute faith in Nichols' words. If Old Republic lives up to the hype, and the hardcore Star Wars devotees that still play Galaxies depart for greener pastures, there would be no logical reason for anyone to continue supporting the game.
