So far, the only PSP games scheduled for simultaneous UMD and PlayStation Store downloadable release are Sony first-party titles, like LocoRoco 2 and *Patapon 2, *though Square Enix is now following suit with Dissidia Final Fantasy.

Sony's official site for the Tokyo Game Show has a listing for the title, with the distribution method listed as both disc and download.

This of course means that importing the game once it comes out December 18 in Japan has suddenly been made much easier, as long as you have access to a Japanese PlayStation Network account.

It's unclear though whether you'll be paying less than the disc version, since Square Enix could choose to not follow Sony's strategy of reducing the price for download purchases.

I played the game at the Sony booth, had a rather good time with it, and can't see how this wouldn't make for a good import title, with maybe a FAQ to fill you in on the various attacks and abilities.
